ABOUT THE BOOK
How can a simple job interview end in complete carnage?
When Mandy Paige seeks Kent Fisher’s help to find the mother who abandoned her as a baby, he has no idea of the mayhem his investigation will unleash. With only a photograph of a woman he once knew, he discovers she left her office one Friday afternoon twenty years ago and never returned.
Did Helen Cassidy escape an abusive husband or was she abducted and murdered?
People connected to Helen begin to die in mysterious circumstances. An old foe returns, leaving cryptic messages on the windscreen of Kent’s car. He seems to know Kent’s every move, hounding and taunting the sleuth, attacking those who can help him solve the mystery.
When the main suspect dies, Kent’s investigation lies in tatters – until he realises he’s not the one pursuing the killer. The killer’s pursuing him.

If you enjoy a complex murder mystery that’s as much about the characters as the plot then purchase your copy today.
Kent Fisher is a fabulous character, he has a charm about him that makes me smile, humour that makes me giggle and the nose of a blood hound that won’t stop until he gets his man or woman. This is the sixth book in the series with his ups and downs of being an Environmental Officer, part time super sleuth and love life all mixed in with his real passion, his animal sanctuary.
Kent’s younger years come to bite him well and truly in his deriaire in this story and open up a mystery that had been laid dormant for a number of years. Kent knows that what he unearths could change his life forever but he didn’t know when he began digging that it would end other peoples lives as well. The body count gets bigger as the suspects get fewer.
As the series has developed Kent has acquired quite a reputation for solving some of the local crimes and literally got himself a name for it. This you will have to discover but it does make me giggle. I think that the locals see him as something of an amusing oddity but at the same time respect the results that he comes up with.
These books can be enjoyed by anyone who loves a good solid murder mystery that isn’t over the top and too graphic. The humour is light and entertaining and the characters solid with a choice of lady friends that I can never make my mind up about who I want Kent to really fall in love with. A brilliant top series!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Rob Crouch lives and works in East Sussex, England, in the shadow of the beautiful South Downs. During his career as an environmental health officer, he’s focused on improving hygiene standards in food businesses. This has led to him editing and writing for a respected food hygiene manual for caterers. He has also specialized in workplace health and safety in the leisure and service sectors, investigating several fatal work accidents. But secretly, he’s always wanted to solve a murder. It started when he watched TV’s Lieutenant Columbo unpick perfect murders with an affable but dogged pursuit of incongruous details. A healthy diet of crime fiction and drama followed, including Sherlock Holmes, Inspector Morse, and Miss Marple. When he became an avid fan of Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Millhone, he realized he wanted to create a different kind of private detective to solve his murders. Set beneath the rolling hills of the South Downs, No Accident is Rob’s first novel featuring Kent Fisher, an environmental health officer with more baggage than an airport carousel. Within minutes of arriving at the scene of a fatal work accident, he uncovers details that don’t quite make sense. Like his hero, Columbo, Kent digs deeper and deeper, disregarding procedure, until work and his personal life collide with devastating consequences.
