‘AMAZING’ Marian Keyes
I disappeared on a Tuesday afternoon. I was there one minute and the next I was gone. They’ve never found my body…
It’s six in the morning during the hottest summer on record when Elizabeth O’Loughlin, out walking her dog, comes across Clare, a victim of a horrific knife attack, clinging onto life at the side of the road.
Clare dies minutes later, but not before whispering her haunting last words to Elizabeth.
When it becomes clear that Clare’s killer has more than one murder on his mind, Elizabeth has to take drastic action or face losing everything.
But what if she can’t stop a killer determined never to be forgotten?

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS AND REVIEW
The thought of finding a stranger brutally stabbed, covered in blood and in their last moments of life must have been horrific for Elizabeth but she knew that the final words this lady spoke would be meaningful to someone. A message to loved ones perhaps but it wasn’t. The last words this woman said were was truly haunting, ‘Warn them’.
Oh my, this turns out to be such a dilemma for Elizabeth as the police warn her off telling anyone about what she had been asked to do. Elizabeth has suffered tragic loss herself and simply can’t let it rest, so she begins a little digging to find out about the dead young woman. The story is told mainly through Elizabeth and one of the victims best friends, Rachel, who is struggling already with the recent death of her mother.
There are some very strong characters in the story but one who is certainly damaged goods, it is a matter of working out just which one in this pool of red herrings. Do make plenty of time for this story as there isn’t a place you can leave it. There is just such a feeling of dread hanging over every page because I felt the killer was in plain sight.
This is a brilliant storyline which is all too real. One to make you stop and think.
I wish to thank NetGalley for an e-copy of this book which I have reviewed honestly.
