Bermuda: A thrilling prequel novella. by [Enright, Robert]

Discover how it all began…

Franklyn Jones is a devoted husband, a loving father and a middle manager working in London. His only secret is he can see ‘The Otherside’, a world that hides in the shadows of our own. After his claims of these creatures leads to the loss of his family and his commitment to a mental health facility, Franklyn’s life came to a complete stand still.

Eventually, Franklyn is recruited by the BTCO, a secret agency that monitors and maintains the truce between both worlds. Thrust into an advanced training regime based on his ‘gifts’, Franklyn soon finds himself out on his first case, investigating the disappearance of several people in Elvedon Forest in Suffolk.

Closely monitored by his trainer, Denham, Franklyn edges further into this new world, hunting a violent entity that lives within the trees, whilst also being watched by a mysterious warrior.

The explosive prequel novella to DOORWAYS and THE ABSENT MAN, BERMUDA takes you back to where it all started.

Bermuda: A thrilling prequel novella.

Well I was pretty excited when I heard that this novella was coming out. Now I aren’t a fan of short stories as a rule but this was a must, a chance to get to know how Bermuda came to work for this secret underground, in plain sight organisation, that keeps both dimensions of our world working side by oblivious side. In short the BTCO. The headquarters of which are under the Shard in the heart of London. Well I tell you my heart skips a beat every time that I pass the darn place now as it gives me the feeling of being watched from the shadows! In fact no matter where you go in London the building just seems to be there.

The story takes you back to when Franklyn Jones, you get to know how he got the name Bermuda in this story too, was a little boy. A little boy who was terrified not of shadows in the night but what actually came out of the shadows. Oh boy my heart broke for the little man. When he grew up, married and had a daughter he swore he would always be there to protect her from the monsters only he could see. Well that didn’t end well and so the recruitment of Jones by the BTCO has to take place from the padded cell that had become his home.

Now I am drooling as I am reading, just loving the behind the scenes getting to know literally how the other half live! Jones finds out that there is no better way of learning a new job then actually doing it and so it begins. Oh wow and lurking in the shadows is one of my favourite characters of this cracking series.

Don’t hesitate just jump right in either as a new reader to get the gen from the start or like me to find out how it all began. What a treat! Love it! Love it! LOVE IT!
