Don’t you always plan the perfect Christmas?
Don’t you always think it will be the best one ever?
And doesn’t something – usually one of your loved ones – always come along and screw it up?

Katy’s been spending too much time in the office and not enough time with her family so she wants it all: snow (fake or real), the Michael Bublé Christmas album, whatever it takes.

There’s only one thing missing as far as her husband Ben is concerned: another baby to complete their family. Katy isn’t so sure…

Ben may be playing the role of Master Elf in the pre-school nativity but he is struggling to master his own family life. With romantically-challenged friends, an ex who refuses to go away and Katy’s mum’s 64-year-old toy boy thrown into the mix, Christmas looks like it could be going off the rails… Never mind family planning, can Katy and Ben even plan to make it to the end of Christmas Day?

Now I have read the other two of Tracy Blooms No-one has Sex books before and cried with laughing so this had to be a book for me and it has been perfect reading. A mad cap couple Ben and Katy with a barmy family and screwed up over the top mates yep just sounds like the typical family set up. So organising Christmas is at times like a military campaign because everyone wants that perfect day with the perfect count down as it approaches. School concerts, works knees ups and of course romance, it is always an emotional time.

Katy and Ben are a couple you just love, especially Ben what a gem he is. Katy is bread-winner in the house while stay at home dad Ben is quite a mother hen and one that is becoming broodier by the day. He is already surrounded by children in pre-school helping out as Master Elf and all of the children adore him, especially the new addition of twins whose pushy mum wants them to star in the nativity or so Ben has been told.

This story is full of other over the top characters that are pure gems of entertainment. The sort of moments where people who have had run ins, putting it mildly here, before, just miss each other. Like a person leaves a room and another one comes in through the door opposite. You know at sometime there is going to be a show down but when? Well there are plenty of these times.

I just love Braindead, yep that is one of the main characters and the name he quite happily answers to, I cried openly at the madcap scheme of the storyline surrounding him, oh my this is the diamond amongst the other gems in the book. I still have one particular scene floating into my mind and it still makes me laugh.

This is an all round full on entertaining Christmas farce just super full of laugh every minute pure joy, a perfect read for getting into the spirit of festive family fun.

Tracy started writing when her cruel, heartless husband ripped her away from her dream job shopping for rollercoasters for the UK’s leading theme parks, to live in America with a brand new baby and no mates. In a cunning plan to avoid domestic duties and people who didn’t understand her Derbyshire accent, she wrote her romantic comedy, NO-ONE EVER HAS SEX ON A TUESDAY. This debut novel went on to be successfully published internationally and became a #1 Best Seller.

Back in the UK she has continued her writing career and has just launched her sixth book.
