IN PLAIN SIGHT by MEL COMLEY #BLOG TOUR #BLOGHOUNDS #Hero,3 @Melcom1 @Bloodhoundbook

Firstly I would like to thank Helen Claire and BLOODHOUND BOOKS for inviting me to take part on this BLOG TOUR for IN PLAIN SIGHT by MEL COMLEY

In Plain Sight: a hero series novel by [Comley, M A ]

No one is safe… not even the police.

DI Hero Nelson is used to violent crime but this one is personal. When he’s called to a crime scene he discovers the victims are two police officers one of whom is a good friend.

Determined to track down the killer, he’s dealt another blow as the body count continues to rise. To catch the killer before he strikes again, Hero calls upon the public for help. But when the criminal ups the ante by taking hostages, he soon regrets his actions.

Can Hero and the police catch the murderer before more innocent victims are hurt?

Hero must apprehend a killer who is hiding in plain sight before the time runs out.

I was a constant fan of Mel Comley books with the Justice series and loved every one, but that was in the days that I didn’t use to review. Well I am back on track and I didn’t realise how much I missed this author until I began reading this book. All I can say is I won’t get distracted again because I only got one adrenaline rush, it began on page one and ended when I finished the book. It really is so filled with action packed pages.

This is the third book in the Hero series although I felt very comfortable reading it as a stand alone book. Set in Manchester the police force have to deal with some pretty grim cases at times but it really comes home to the force when two of their own are shot and killed after following a car and eventually stopping it. Crime on the streets of Manchester had just got personal. In more of rage than a thought out plan DI Hero Nelson sort of throws down the gauntlet and the killer ups the stakes too. Unfortunately, he has the killer hand literally and more deaths quickly follow with a devastating twist that no-one saw coming. Now it is game on, a race against time.

This is a page turning, stomach churning read that I had to finish in one stretch because I needed to know that it was safe to close the book for me to sleep soundly. Loved the strong lead role of DI Hero Nelson, a perfect name for this man, but Mel Comley balances it all out with a vengeful character as equally bad. Oozing tension and vengeance, car chases and execution style murders he is the perfect paper back villain. Pure magic!
