We all experience love in different ways – sometimes it comes on as a slow burn that gradually builds over time, but for others it’s a fierce love on fire from the moment it begins.
Sydney Summers only knows love that ends too soon – which is why she pours her heart and soul into rescuing every animal that comes into her vet clinic.
Cole Mason on the other hand, he only loves tacos, and simply wants out of the dangerous life he’s been pulled into. But when his world collides with Sydney’s, he realizes there is so much more to want.
That type of love – the kind of love that takes your breath away in the simplest of moments – the kind of love you can’t turn away from because it surrounds you and you have no choice but to surrender to it – that love is the falling kind…
But it’s not always easy to hang on to.
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS AND REVIEW
I thought it would be nice to have a little romance to read over Christmas and this just fitted the bill. This is certainly a story of opposites attract because Sydney and Cole came from very different worlds, and one night they just simply collided. Sydney was a vet technician finishing up for the night when two injured men burst into the clinic, one in need of an ambulance the other one not so much. Not really a romantic way to meet but definitely a memorable one. One that neither of them could break away from. The problem was Sydney could not accept the life that Cole lived and how out of control he becomes when he loses it and Cole couldn’t simply walk away, it wasn’t the sort of job where you hand your notice in. So to be together things have to change big style but are they really up to the challenge?
Cole is one real kick ass kinda bloke and built like someone you want a poster of on your wall. The only thing is he is a bit of a bad boy but he also has the most sweetest gentle honest side too, that Sydney seems to bring out in him. A gentle giant that you want to be swept up in his arms and whisked away anywhere. A little swoon moment here. Oh yes and Sydney is just what he needs. (nearly forgot about Sydney for a minute).
I really do love these bad boy wants to turn good after meeting a girl stories and this one just ticked the boxes for me. Yes ok some of it is probably not so real but at the end of the day I want it to work, I want to feel oh yay when I have finished reading and put the book down with a smile on my face. An escape from reality for an happy ending. I got that with this novel.
HERE IS A LITTLE ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Randileigh Kennedy grew up in Nevada and now resides in the Midwest. She has had many eclectic experiences – she has been a pig farmer, a world traveller, a Las Vegas cocktail waitress, a radio DJ, an expert at Monopoly, a party planning addict, a hypochondriac who overuses WebMD, a wife, a mother, a songwriter – and the list continues to grow. She currently has five books available – all three books in the SIX Series (these are light, easy-to-read summer love stories and can be read independently, although they are more enjoyable when read in sequence), along with two separate standalone books, Ten Seconds of Crazy, and The Falling Kind. All of these books are more of a “clean” romance – no 18+ rating (they’re more like a PG-13 movie… 🙂
