DEAD OVER HEELS by THERESA BRAUN #supernatural #paranormal #Friday reads @tbraun_author

Veronica’s first date with Sebastian not only stirs up a powerful attraction, but also a series of supernatural events that will tear them apart.

After countless hours of dead end online dating, Veronica meets up with Sebastian at a reportedly haunted restaurant, since he knows she has a fascination with the paranormal. While enjoying their meals and each other’s company, they share a shocking supernatural experience. Their romantic connection is overshadowed by the ghosts of their own pasts that threaten to destroy their budding relationship. Veronica decides she must return to the restaurant to face her past and dig up more answers. Unfortunately, she realizes she must go back, this time with a reluctant Sebastian. In the end, they join forces against the evil that stands between them, but will they make it out alive?

Well this really is a short story being only 38 pages but it is 38 pages of pure solid entertainment. Veronica is not afraid to dabble in a little magic to help nudge her love life into existence through online dating, it is all a disaster until she randomly receives a message from Sebastian after she has given up hope of meeting anyone. Arrangements are made to meet in a well known haunted restaurant where they experience their first joint sighting of a ghostly couple. It is only Veronica and Sebastian that witness the event but should the young couple that have just met interfere with the ghostly goings on? Why of course they should and my what a fascinating story it becomes.

Theresa Braun’s novel is read easily in one sitting but when you finish you think how the heck did she pack so much in as not one word is wasted in it. I simply had not got a clue how this was all going to end and well to be honest with the words shocked, awesome and cool springing to mind, I was really quite ‘I didn’t see that coming’. I really liked the two main characters which made quite a team, even if one of them was a little reluctant at times, it made quite a nice little love story besides a paranormal adventure. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that fancies a quick book fix on a short journey or something as a read before bed. There is violence in this book so do be warned. I would love to read a longer novel by this lady but although I don’t normally like short stories I would certainly read more of hers.

I wish to thank the author for a copy of this book which I have chosen to review

Hmmm. What’s this? Looks like Ms. Braun left her computer on and her Goodreads bio open.

This should be fun.

What can we say about Theresa? I mean other than the fact that she’s weirdly obsessed with smiley faces :-). Like, seriously obsessed >:-*. It’s kinda scary :-O.

I think she thinks she’s from Renaissance England or Venice or something. I never could figure out which one it was. (She’s really bad at doing accents.)

She likes romance novels and crime TV, which are pretty much the same thing when you think about it. Ha! Am I right?

She has a hell of a singing voice. Seriously. It’s, like, seventh circle of hell bad.

She likes editing. A lot. Just wait till she get’s aload a this.

Cats. Shoes. Chips and salsa. In that order.

Yeah, that last part didn’t make sense to me either.
