A Deadly Sin: Part one of the Divinus Pueri series

There are seven deadly sins, so they say.

Pride, Envy, Wrath, Gluttony, Lust, Sloth, and Greed.

We are guilty of them all. But what happens when someone decides to become judge, jury, and executioner of those that commit these sins?

Detective Mich Curtis is thrown back into a world he thought he’d managed to struggle out of.

It started as a simple murder case to solve – it became a fight to survive.

Seven sins, seven murders – who will be the last man standing?

The executioner or the only person fucked up enough to get inside his mind?

Suspense/thriller for readers over the age of 18
The follow-up, A Deadly Mission, is scheduled for release March 2017

Tracie Podger, for me as a reader, has become my biggest find this year. What an exceptional talent she is! So I was super excited when I saw this novel. I absolutely loved the last book Gabrielle and knew that if this book was half as good it would be a belter. Well OMG what an incredible story this was. There wasn’t a moment inbetween sentences that I could catch my breath as it was action all the way, both hot in the bedroom and with the most gruesome murders.

Wow this maniac certainly has got issues and wants to be heard loud and clear which he does with the pain, torture and over kill of his young college victims. Yikes, just reading this made me want to curl up into a fetal position. I never really took to this elite rich group of kids that was being randomly picked off but this is where Tracie Podger really notches up into top gear, as each killing is tailored to the victim and wow, Dante rules here

There is the bitter but there is also the sweet as the hot relationship between former FBI agent, now small town detective Mich and Eddie, the lady Medical Examiner gets darn right steamy. This lady certainly knows what she wants in and out of the bedroom. It isn’t the perfect relationship but it certainly kept me entertained.

From the very first page I knew that this was going to be another firm favourite of my books as the whole thing flowed beautifully and left me hungry for more. A story teaming with talent and a cracking story full of surprises for its characters and readers. Loved the end.

Thank you to Helen Boyce of TBC on FB for an arc copy of this novel which I have chosen to review.
