My husband loves me.
I love him.
But, a secret is eating us alive.
It’s not the one I keep from him.
It’s not the one he couldn’t keep from me.
And, someone knows everything.
A stranger. A stalker. An online nightmare.
I’ve got mail.
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS AND REVIEW
When Danny talks Emma out of trying to end her life a very special bond was created between them, one that only came to an end 14 years later when Emma was told that Danny had taken his own life. This is a cause of grave concern for Emma’s husband David, he is such a lovely bloke, as he is scared that Emma will revert to self harming again, like she has been known to do in the past. This is such a riveting book and very modern dealing with a lot of mental health issues in today’s society. Like so many people when one thing goes wrong it seems that everything you touch falls to pieces too, Emma’s life is no different but it does cause her to question her own sanity.
I just love a story that has a puzzle to solve and this one certainly has a big one. Told in the first person each chapter consists of Emma, David or David’s boss Amber revealing a little more of the jigsaw. I really liked how the novel shows the social media aspect of modern life and how ignorant of its use most of us are. (self definitely included there). It really does make you think and shudder. This is a cracking story that built momentum as it went along to an end I had not worked out. I shall be watching for more from this author.
Do read on when the story comes to an end where Janelle reveals why she has written her novels. I wish to thank Jules for the recommendation and ARC copy from the author. I have chosen to review this book.
