My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This has to be one of my favourite psychological thrillers of this year so far. The novel touched all the bases for me. It was tense and put me on edge throughout the book which at one point I just dare not turn the page.
I really loved how the tin mining industry of Cornwall was wound into the story and I felt quite drawn back in time thinking of how it must have been in tunnels under the sea. It was all in my opinion, relevant to the story. It created such an eerie atmosphere in the huge isolated mansion that once belonged to the mine owner. It was all very bleak and felt quite timeless. The story I was totally hooked on, absolutely loved it.
I wish to thank Netgalley and Harper Collins for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
